Raybeez R.I.P.

“In our minds and in our hearts, we feel that hardcore music should stay out of big business and stay in the streets, where it belongs. All you kids out there, always, keep the faith!”

Today marks the 11th year since Raybeez passed away. There’s plenty that could be said about this man’s influence on modern hardcore but at this point I don’t think there’s much of value that can be said and hasn’t been said before. As a blog about hardcore in a large, somewhat fragmented scene, the least we can do is recall his unfortunate passing at an early age.

Raybeez united a scene like no one before or after. May he rest in peace.

Also, in reference to Warzone, we might be doing up some shirts with the above image. Because, you know, Siesta Nouveaux is on the Lower East Side right?
