Back on the Map

I took another breather last week. Life changes, you know. Now we’re back on track though, and we gotta be. August is a fucking busy month.

Tomorrow night, Jordan Posner’s TERROR is playing at the Opera House on that 10 for $10 tour with our friends TRAPPED UNDER ICE and other bands not particularly worth mentioning in the context of this blog. I’ll be there singing along to “Betrayer” and thinking about Vik.

Then, on Saturday, there’s the screening of GENERATION at HITS AND MISSES.

generationWho’s that handsome guy in the Cro-Mags shirt? I saw a rough cut of this documentary last week and I must say, it was pretty fucking cool. It’s really neat to see someone involved in the community do this and it be worthwhile viewing for anyone else also involved. Get out on Saturday and support. Also, bring some money for records. Pete’s got a ton of new shit in the shop that needs buying!

And, speaking of shit that needs buying/things relevant to Toronto Hardcore:

I am now in possession of 10 of the last TOWN OF HARDCORE books. This will be available next Tuesday at the HAVE HEART show at the front door. First come, first serve. If you do not own this yet, you don’t know hardcore. Inarguably, one of the best zines in the last 10 years – but really, the best – and you can have them all – plus extras – in one package. They’re $20, so get at me and get reading.

HAVE HEART next Tuesday.

Like I said, August is busy.
